Job Title: Software Tester

Location : Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site)

Canvas is seeking a Software Tester to support the 96th Test Wing!

Duties:

  • Translate user requirements into software test cases.
  • Participate in team meetings and test reviews.
  • Troubleshoot, find, report software bugs.
  • Write Formal software documentation.
  • Follow CMMI (Level 3) processes for software testing.
  • Verify and validate web applications and application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Must be proficient in analysis of complex software requirements & translating into quality test cases, either manual or automated.
  • Must have database experience in SQL Server 2019, Stored Procedures, Table Design for testing.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and speaking.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capability.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a group.
  • Must have the ability to quickly understand the customer's overall technical objectives and missions and provide effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or related field) and 3 years of relevant experience; 5 years of software testing experience highly desired.
  • Experience supporting DoD desired.
  • Proficient skills in:
    • SQL Server
    • Stored Procedures
    • Table Design testing
    • Analysis of complex software
    • Selenium or other automation test tools desired
    • Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure DevOps desired

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; active Secret clearance desired.

Other Essential Job Functions: Must be willing to travel up to 15%.
