The Role

The Senior Risk Manager position fulfills a key role within FI Risk, supporting the Policy Management Support team. This role has direct leadership responsibility for a team of content writers that support the creation of operational and written supervisory procedures on a predetermined basis. In addition, the Senior Manager will assist with additional risk tasks including assessments and internal control testing to continue broadening and strengthening synergies across risk related functions and teams. The role will participate in team development and contribute to FI Risk program goals by sharing subject matter expertise, industry knowledge, and best practices.

The Expertise and Skills you Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or 5\u002B years of relevant content writing, management experience, and familiarity with risk management framework and concepts
• Demonstrates expertise and champions effective use of the Archer content management platform
• Leads efforts to drive writing team’s content reference and organization of procedure categories and alignment
• Influence business partners to support content recommendations and working within set procedure management standards
• Promotes and role models mission, vision, and value of the FI / FBOT Procedure Management Writing team and FI Risk organization
• Ability to coach and mentor writing staff to their full potential, providing them with ongoing support, and encouraging the achievement of short and long-term career goals and aspirations
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Fidelity’s businesses and risk programs
• Strong communications and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical guidance and share knowledge among teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
• Capability to effectively prioritize day-to-day responsibilities and longer-term projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• A self-starter who has the ability to drive initiatives independently from inception to completion and achieve results within prescribed scope and timelines
• Proven ability to simultaneously identify, prioritize, and address multiple issues and respond to shifts in priorities
• Ability to influence key decision makers through a combination of knowledge, reasoning, and relationships
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Data analysis and visualization skills is a plus
• Build effective working relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners

• Working independently and with team members to promote procedure management and risk related functions across highly regulated business areas to drive awareness and support risk reduction
• Recommending risk remediation actions, brokering solutions with management, and driving remediation where appropriate
• Effectively managing multiple projects and responsibilities within prescribed timelines, including individual and team related tasks
• Communicating complex issues by distilling them into concise summary reports and presentations
• Ability to engage interested parties and facilitate discussions, working sessions, and walkthroughs to accomplish procedure management, risk related milestones, and follow protocols through to completion
