Are you ready to lead the show at our high-energy, high-volume flagship location? Guitar Center embodies the world of creativity and music by encouraging staff to find their own individual sound. We’re looking for a dynamic Store Manager who can hit all the right notes and keep our store grooving! If you have a passion for music and an ear for excellence, we want you to curate the ultimate shopping experience for our customers. Your leadership will set the tempo, driving sales and delivering top-tier customer service. You'll manage a diverse team of rock stars, coordinating their efforts to achieve store goals and create a vibrant, upbeat atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Building: Inspire, mentor, and lead a passionate team. Your charisma and energy will set the stage for success. Train, mentor, and develop staff to reach their potential in a growing company.

Customer Experience: Ensure every customer leaves our store feeling like they've had a backstage pass to the best concert ever. Personalize their shopping journey and exceed their expectations. Build strategies to maintain positive Customer Satisfaction scores.

Sales & Performance: Drive sales and meet targets with a strategic approach. Analyze performance metrics and recognize what levers to pull to achieve revenue and EBITDA targets while managing P&L.

Store Operations: Oversee daily operations, from inventory management to visual merchandising. Keep the store in tune with company guidelines and standards. Maintain company and store merchandising standards, overseeing efforts to consistently present an organized, clean, and fun in-store experience.

Community Engagement: Connect with the local community and create events that draw in crowds. Turn our store into a hub of activity and excitement. Maintain and foster an inclusive environment.

  • Organizational and Operational Skills: Able to utilize time, energy, and resources to manage priorities, stay on track, and achieve goals. Able to multitask and pay strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment. Able to complete tasks thoroughly in a timely manner. Able to protect assets and people by learning and implementing protocols and complying with guidelines.
  • Performance Management: Able to lead, manage, and mentor others. Able to lead by example and develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports to ensure goals are met. Provides effective positive and constructive feedback.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in retail management, preferably within a high-volume or flagship store.Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecast sales, and control expenses.
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Pay Rate: $90,000 - $100,000 depending on background and experience.

This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
