As our Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in managing both residential and commercial construction projects, overseeing estimating, budgeting based on initial drawings, and conducting detailed take-offs. Building strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors will be key to your success in this role. We're seeking an individual who can occasionally meet onsite, with the flexibility for remote work in a hybrid capacity when not onsite. Responsibilities: - Conduct estimating and budgeting based on full and partial drawings, utilizing tools such as PlanSwift and Bluebeam.
- Perform take-offs and quantity surveys to accurately assess project requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet budget and timeline objectives.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with historical restoration projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in estimating and managing large projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage projects with precision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
