SUMMARY
Efficiently execute directional drilling operations to install and repair Outside Plant Facilities. Effectively interact with people from other workgroups and entities as necessary in the execution of directional drilling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build outside plant facilities to meet or exceed approved technical and operational standards. Achieve goals as defined by cost and lead time to support organizational growth.
• Utilize advanced technical and mechanical capabilities of the Directional Boring Equipment coupled with the expert ability to interpret mapping and locate data to avoid damages to existing facilities.
• Efficiently utilize all assigned assets to achieve maximum production.
• Aggressively identify and repair non-planned service outages. Ensure Comporium's reputation for reliable and high performance telecommunications services is maintained. Build relationships with outside contractors and excavators.
• Through expert knowledge and superior preventative maintenance activities, maintain all equipment to minimize downtime and extend the serviceable life of all equipment.
• Deliver superior customer service to all internal and external customers. Achieve all Enterprise customer service goals. Assists workgroup to achieve department performance goals.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma required.
• 2 years in directional boring operations preferred, or telecommunication construction background
• Strong mathematical, expert mechanical, analytical, conceptual and interpersonal skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, work in confined spaces
• Possess or be able to obtain CDL, Certified Directional Drilling Operator
