The firms Consumer business, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup with more than 150 years of experience. Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products including lending, deposits, financial tools, and our partnership with Apple on Apple Card. We use innovative design, data, engineering and other core capabilities to provide customers with powerful tools and products that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity. As we build a leading digital consumer bank and expand into new products and partnerships, we are looking for leaders and individual contributors to join our team.

Summary

The Marcus Secured Lending Business is looking for a strategic leader who is passionate about building a customer centric product that will meet the future borrowing needs of our existing customers and expand our customer base. This will be a key area of growth and strategic focus for Marcus.

In your role as Product Lead you will be responsible for both product planning and managing the product throughout the entire lifecycle. You will work with the business and engineering teams in an agile manner to build an industry leading tech stack driving efficiency, customer experience, and profitability. You will have a passion for software development while working cross functionally with Operations, Corporate Compliance, Credit, and Legal teams. This role will report directly to Head of Secured Lending. The ideal candidate will be a customer focused and growth oriented leader that thrives on delivering business results.

Your Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between the business functions and engineering team to define requirements, prioritize efforts, develop testing plans, and implement software
• Develop the product strategy and roadmap
• Assist the business in determining minimum viable product for new features and products
• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
• Run beta and pilot programs with early stage features and products
• Monitor the performance of products and work with the business to develop next stage functionality
• Maintain effective communication with business partners

Your Capability

• 5+ years of experience in secured lending technology
• 5+ years of prior management experience within secured lending originations and/or servicing
• Experience in fintech is strongly preferred
• Knowledge in all areas of secured lending operations, careful attention to detail, and the ability to lead product teams
• Experience interacting with third party service providers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in managing and working with large cross functional teams with excellent relationship building skills
• Bachelors Degree required
