We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Downers Grove, Illinois. As part of our team, you will oversee and develop the accounting team, manage the balance sheet and P& L reporting structure, and ensure compliance with USGAAP, JSOX and IFRS. This role also involves providing audit and tax support, managing the sales/use tax functions, and administering Corporate Purchasing Card, Concur expense reporting and Vertex sales tax software.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, providing support for completion of responsibilities and project-related activities.
• Oversee Accounts Payable transactional activities, employee expense report administration and processing, and SAP process support.
• Administer Corporate Purchasing Card, Concur expense reporting and Vertex sales tax software.
• Manage the sales/use tax functions and state sales/use tax audits.
• Ensure timely and accurate support for federal and state tax provisions and income tax returns.
• Ensure accounting compliance with USGAAP, JSOX and IFRS.
• Produce and analyze recurring and ad hoc financial reports, schedules and statements.
• Manage SAP system data updates and maintenance.
• Drive the monthly financial close activities including journal entry preparation, preliminary results analysis, and account reconciliation reviews and corrections.
• Act as the Accounting/Finance SAP subject matter expert.
• Participate in inventory and warranty related issues, accruals, and reporting.
• Support various other accounting and finance responsibilities.
• Initiate continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Proficiency in various Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is desirable.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is required.
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is beneficial.
• Must be capable of performing all Accounting Functions effectively.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Prior experience in Auditing is preferred.
• Must be skilled in executing Billing Functions efficiently.
